What in the heck is a PD Snack?
When I was a principal, I would share a little PD Snack with my teachers, or other principals, about a new strategy to try or something that I wanted to challenge them with each week or month. It was totally optional, but I found that many of my teachers loved it because it was simplistic and super easy to implement. What they loved even more were the results that they gained from it. Over the past few years, principals reached out for advice regarding discipline or positive school culture as well as specific events that I had planned. I love to give these, but they were taking up so much time. I would frequently comment, "I will send you a voice message" and I had hundreds of other admins asking to share the same voice memo with them.
Do you ever have a problem that you need solved ASAP but have no idea how to find the solution? Do you have a mountain of books sitting in front of you that you want to read or have read but have no idea where to start? Well, guess what? That problem has been solved! Yes, I have solved this age-old problem that so many of us have been faced with for years! I have created PD Snacks! They are like dynamite, small but mighty! They will pack a lot of punch in a short period of time but leave you with a ton of information! By creating these videos that are laser-focused on the subject being covered, it eliminates unnecessary hours of time scrolling the internet, phoning a friend, or shuffling through the huge stack of books that you are staring at right now!
